A true legend I've seen him live once here in Ireland Jesus that must be 15-20 year ago long time ago but he was unreal live.
I’ve seen him three times I think. It’s something you never forget.
I saw him on the tour after Clarence died and he did a haunting tribute during tenth Avenue freeze out. He sang the line “that change was made uptown, and the big man joined the band” and the band stopped, the lights went down except for one spotlight where Clarence usually stands, and silence.
An entire stadium silent during a haunting tribute to the Big Man. I still get goosebumps when I think about it.
Wow id say that was an unreal experience and you're right his gigs are gigs you never forget, but that experience you had sounds like a fucking awesome tribute to big Clarence coolaboola dude.
