So if I have my ESP32 connected to my WiFi router,

and my router's power goes out,

is there a way to still connect to the ESP32

given the Bluetooth is turned off ?

Yes you can use your esp32 as a hotspot. Forgive me can't recall how to do this but easy to set via IDE

Yeah ... am looking into using ESP32 as a hotspot,

if the power is out in a major event, I want communication to be as seamless as possible

or get backup power for your router - at least you don't have to change anything to get to your meshtastic :)

Yes ... issue is I'm setting this up at my in-laws also and I am financing it 💸

I see, makes sense.. what HW are planning for that setup?

Another point as I'm thinking through this,

if you can't use your mesh device without your router,

your mesh device is not really mobile
