This church sign is fucking dark.

Torturing & killing the mortal form of God would necessarily be the greatest sin of all time. Treating the torture & killing of God as the solution rather than the problem that God had to forgive you for seems retarded to me. God died because some people are power hungry authoritarians & others are cowards who like to align themselves with power hungry authoritarians. Seeing the mistake, seeing our true nature, & then choosing to live differently was the fix.

Why do church people always make me feel like I'm taking crazy pills?

This is a really common pattern of thought in American non-Apostolic Christianity. They conflate the means with the end. The crucifixion of our Lord was evil, but what the Sanhedrin and the Romans meant for evil God used for good.

This is the theme of salvation: evil corrupts and God uses the broken to make something yet more beautiful than the unbroken original.
