i honestly cant figure it out.
i’ve heard hypotheses, but most seem kinda shallow honestly. its like some time around 2012, they started getting weird, and then in 2015 they got crazy, and then in 2020 they became a cult.
some people i knew for years just lost it, and got crazier and crazier too.
2010-2012 is about when most people fully embraced carrying a dopamine delivery device in their pocket 24/7.
