This is what happens when you divorce the customer from the service, stick a bureaucracy into every single decision, create explicit control mechanisms for incumbents, subsidize the ever loving crap out of insurance and medical debt, and replace personal care with checkboxes, paperwork, and “standards.”

You obliterate the service, and create an astonishing grift for completely useless and wasteful jobs.

the NHS also has a reputation for hiring the absolute dregs for admin, like if you have a pulse , you get a job.

then there's the endless bullshit money being wasted on BS social awareness training , sponsored by the printing machine.

while I'm not an NHS hater per se, at this stage it's like a supernova sucking in all the budget money and the more it gets fed, the more it consumes
