VS Code seems to get real slow when it needs an update.

Is this intentional? Like, is Microsoft prodding me to do the update by making it slow so I notice? #asknostr

i wish there was better but at least as far as #golang jetbrains intellij based IDEs are the best, and not even that expensive at like $12/month

i've also used IDEA and Clion and RustRover and they all seem to be pretty good

i haven't used VSCode since about 2019... and it's still absolute shit for Go

it's awfully slow for programming tools tho, i mean, 1/10th the speed of a java app

jetbrains webstorm is pretty good though if that's your thing
