Is anyone else finding that multiple Google services are getting much worse recently? I heard they're putting pressure on their various teams to use LLMs for everything, maybe that's why?
Recent examples for me include maps insisting that a road I was driving on was closed and constantly rerouting me. Always used to be reliable. And playing really obscure covers of songs when I ask it to play music, instead of the original. Again, never used to happen.
I'm planning on itinerary for my road trip, something I've done dozens of times. Google has become almost unusable for this task at this point. I'm trying to find roadside attractions and am constantly given results for a bar by that name in Portland, OR. I am googling about Nebraska, please focus goodness gracious!
I tried de-googling myself last fall but was unsuccessful. I'm thinking now it's time to try again in earnest, because it's become so frustrating when it used to work so well ðŸ˜
