Do you have an example of a zap event? I'd like to see what it looks like.

From what I can tell, most people are not zapping, they're "tipping" which doesn't show up on anybody's profile.

How is it verified that it was payed?

I think the lightning node ("zapper" referenced in the NIP) communicates that it was paid and creates the event.

I guess you have to use an lnaddress server that supports nostr zap fields

Zaps are implements on Nostr with NIP-57 which just got merged in, only a few wallets are supporting it, i believe WoS and Damus and Snort.

the Lightning Address and LNURL are under a different spec, LUD-6/16, correct me if i am wrong.
