Today I was asked: "What do you understand by the mean of origin of money?"

Two years ago I probably couldn't answer to this question. I basically didn't know what money is.

When you start asking yourself that, and dive into it, it's much easier to understand Why #Bitcoin.

Anyway my answer today was this:

Money is just a tool created to easily interact with each other and exchange value based on a settled general consensus. With the evolution of technology also that tool was developed and it transformed from stones, to shells, to salt or other fondamental goods and then to preciuos metals or minerals. The goal is always the same, to find a tool that could have these main properties:

Medium of exchange, unit of account, scarcity, store of value.

The main goal money has and should have IMO is to store our time-work and the excess of it, into a tool that can't be debased or inflated by a third party, and that permits me to have full control and be a self sovereign individual.
