The same was true for the religious leaders of Jesus' day, compared to the "filthy" Roman Gentiles, harlets, tax collectors, etc. Jesus saw right through all the Pharisees' show of piety, and directly called them out for their hypocrisy. IMO, if a first century version of Julian Assange had been arrested by Rome and condemned by the Pharisees, all for the crime of telling the truth, just like John the Baptist, I believe Jesus would have nothing but praise for that man, as He did for John.

History is rhyming, and many (but not all) churches and "Christians" are following the same path as the Pharisees. But that doesn't negate the reality of the physical Yeshua who will return and show everyone the markings of the nails in His hands and feet, just as He did ~2000 years ago. While Bitcoin is not the Messiah, it does reflect, or "typify", Him in many ways. In a non-Biblical scripture, a man in ~550 BC, named Nephi, who had been shown all about Christ long before He first came, once said:

"Behold, my soul delighteth in proving unto my people the truth of the coming of Christ; for, for this end hath the law of Moses been given; and 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝗺."

In other words, if something is from God, it will typify of Christ, and Bitcoin certainly does! Like John the Baptist, Bitcoin is preparing the way for our Savior's return. It is also the foundation of the society that will exist when Jesus reigns personally on the Earth as King of kings and Lord of lords (but also as the antithesis of the fiat kind of king we've become accustomed to). Bitcoin is incentivizing low time preference, which opens the way for greater humility, faith, hope, and love in our hearts. Jesus will only return when there are enough people who are prepared to receive Him, and Bitcoin is a tool that He caused to be created to assist us in our preparations.
