We once fenced off a 30yd x30yd square area with paige wire, with 2x8’s trenched in around the border, and stapled the fencing to them at the bottom. There were three 6’ high mounds of dirt in there, about 6 yards of soil each. Weeds up to your waist. Half a dozen hogs had that area flat as a pancake and completely stripped of all veg in about 6 days. Amazing.

It’s really incredible. I’m not even sure what the original native habitat of pigs was but to have that kind of power it must have been rocky as fuck to need such digging strength built into their faces while maintaining such dainty feet

Clayey soil mostly. But they had large predators to keep their numbers in check, unlike here.
