It's similar to Strike. You have to take Pic of your ID. But I've been using Speed for a while now and I never completed the KYC thing. It hasn't interfered with my use so I'm not sure what's point 🤷‍♂️ Maybe it only comes into play if you try selling your coins through their marketplace.
