Wtf is a pendrive and why is he storing the private key in it? And he doesnβt have a safe? So many questions, but at the end of the day, consider it a donation π

A pendrive is just a small USB storage device.
Fairly reasonable plan, overall. But needed a backup. Which can be difficult if you only have one safe place.
Yeah I think USB key is basically just as good, maybe better if encrypted, as a paper seed. He should have had the keys on a hardware signer and the USB as the backup imo

Terrible opsec. Hate to say it but he got what he deserves. I spent a lot of time / effort creating an airtight offline key storage schematic. Refuse to be this guy.

um. That's NOT what most bitcoiners would call "cold storage", lol definitely not on a hot wallet! lesson learned is your best suggestion
Oof. Make hard, non digital copies of those seeds and keep them in a secure location. Never trust any single piece of technology with something of value.
