Seems I'm an invisible nostrich once more, so it's time for a break. 🫥

Sending notes and replies into the void is demoralising. Maybe my relay game is off? Or maybe my contributions have no value? In which case I'm wasting time rather than investing it in the future I want to see.

I need to rethink this, as I don't want to be a Nostr NPC... just contributing to the network stats in exchange for the illusion of censorship resistance.

I did try, even zapping those who bothered to reply to my ramblings, which in retrospect was paying for their attention. I offered mine for free, because pura vida, plebchain. But now it feels like I'm the senile old man in the corner muttering to his imaginary friends.

I imagine a new npub posting gpt quips and musavir hottie pics would get 100x the interest and engagement, but that isn't the future I want to see.

Sigh.

I find the fewer expectations I have for nostr the more I enjoy it.

I am more of a lurker than a constant conversation contributer, so I'm sure my experience differs from yours.

nostr is still fairly new and arguably a niche alternative to traditional social media, so I don't think you should feel discouraged.

if we want this to succeed, we need to be vigilant and not give up.
