This is interesting. I have the particular need of nwc, as I would prefer to keep using alby and need to link my wallet this way. This is a good start though. I can sesrch through different wallets from the list.

Not sure if they all support nwc, bro. Although if any don't, they'll have to in future because nostr is gonna be huge. It's inevitable. I reckon nostr:npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6 is a genius for creating this protocol 👍👏

They certainly do not all support nwc. In fact, very few do. I'll find the one I like and report back.

Thanks. There are more LN wallet than I know. Not sure if I can connect all to nostr.

It is unfortunate that Wallet of Satoshi is not for US dwellers.

BlueWallet requires node at this point, per my understanding.

There's so many to choose from. For starters, do you prefer custodial or self custodial? Bitcoiners usually say "not your keys, not your coins" which means they prefer to self custody.

I went through the above list almost exhaustively. Without the need to set up my own node, I was unable to find a non-custodial wallet that will allow my the use nwc to link to #alby.

If I decide to set up and maintain a lightning node, I'll do it through alby. I was hoping to avoid this, but it might just be good for me to figure it out and play with.

Although #Coinos is custodial, I should say that I have been very happy with the ease of their setup. Everything is working fine and I am linked in to alby (avoiding a paid solution)... and since I use it exclusively for Nostr zapping, my wallet only has about $15 of #btc anyway, so I'm pretty much fine with it being custodial.

It seems like #Mutiny (not on the list above) would have been a perfect solution as they were non-custodial and had nwc capability, but they are discontinuing their service.

🤷‍♂️

Sounds like Alby + coinos is perfect for you then bro. If that changes in future, I'm sure you'll find something better that suits you. Btw , what's your Coinos username?

And I've not tried Mutiny. Before Phoenix, I was using Zebedee but that wasn't for me, either.

With growing Bolt12 cross-compatibilty, (Breez just adopted it, fyi) I think using LN will become seamless and it'll just work without users needing to figure out and decide on technical details and such.

Bolt12 seems inevitable. Exciting times ahead.
