This is the only way. Next time, try white popcorn instead of yellow; so much more tender and light. The hulls are not as brutal. I also sprinkle with cajun seasoning for some kick.

No. I am sadly one dimensional on white popcorn. I have a friend who does a popcorn business at the farmers markets. I will ask her opinions and get back.
