The inconsistency of Google's approval process is mind-blowing. It's as if they don't see what every other reviewer has already asked. 🫤

Our track record is that if I send the version at 11pm, it passes. If I send during the day, it doesn't.

Last version was accepted for Beta release and rejected for Production 6 hours later. It's exactly the same file. I didn't even uploaded it again. Same Google policies apply to both. It's 🤯

Hmm. While this does suck that Google didn't pass your latest beta, I'm happy they have a review process now. Many years ago their wasn't one at all. I don't believe I know anyone one this team any longer to reach out for help either. 😭

No need for additional help. I just wished they were consistent.

Any reason not to go directly to FDroid, cutting out Play/Aurora all together?

I'm not sure what value Play adds, it just creates an unnecessary gatekeeper.

WTF

What about Apple? 😅

Send them all at 11pm

The thing you have to realize is that on the other side of this are contractors that go through checklists. The contractor introduces randomness into the response.

They also frequently spill mustard on the checklist so the applied requirements vary.

I've encountered this in other areas with Google many times. Google is not a monolith, very different treatment from shift to shift, account manager to account manager. You'll have to appeal and escalate, which is time consuming and frustrating. Or you have a contact who can accelerate things

What about putting it on F-Droid?

I goes there every night I believe

Not seeing Amethyst on F-droid

Loving Amethyst, so thanks again 🤙
