If we guarantee every person the same basic dignities we provide to inmates—food, shelter, healthcare, education, and opportunities for growth—we create the foundation for all humans to reach their potential. When people aren't struggling to survive, they can focus on creating, innovating, and contributing to society. This isn't just about naturally reducing crime and our prison population—it's about unleashing humanity's collective potential.

Many do not I am sorry to say. I have no problem with all those things being provided if provided voluntarily. I have a big problem with any notion of freeing some from care by coercing others to take what they have and give some part of it to them.

The problem is using government to do it means definitely taking from and therefore hurting someone who is working and maybe barely getting by.

Private communities including churches and wealthy businesses and individuals solved this in the US better before the government tried to do it. Private communities still do it better and are based on voluntary contributions not coerced asset redistribution by gov

its means everybody is in govt prisons.
