This summer will mark the start of several projects: A greenhouse combined with an egg house, a series of raised bed gardens, the chickens themselves, and a bee hive.

I had chickens to feed the coyotes at the farm, and a level bed garden that grew more mallow than anything. Hopefully some of those problems are minimized in my village space.

when will you start putting vegetables in the ground? in 6a we're getting close, late April early May to safely escape the last frost

We don’t get frost free until late may. My potatoes should have gone in on Good Friday, but we had 6” of snow.

I will probably plant them and a few other thing in cold frames this weekend.

Gardening is tough on the high desert frontier.

I don't doubt it. at least you get more sun per day.
