You shouldn't have to pay someone to fix something that the majority of users (and fellow devs themselves) find an issue on any given client.

There's wanting to get paid for your work, and then there's charging to fix something that wouldn't take you more than a few hours just because you can siphon the additional cash.

I could understand paying for a feature I specifically wanted, but you canโ€™t even see threads properly in Damus.

You shouldn't have to pay someone... Yikes.

Let's just stop right there for a moment.

All I'm seeing is that you're complaining about something not working as you'd expect, not offering to fix it, and not offering to pay to get it fixed. Is that correct?

#[2] and other developers are creating clients for us, building out the Nostr protocol for us, for free. They aren't charging us. In fact, they're burning their savings for us.

Nostr clients are all very early and beta at best. They'll get better, but to speed up that timeline, they're going to need our support, not our complaints. ๐Ÿค™

That's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm not expecting everything to work at first jump, nor am I stating that someone shouldn't get paid AT ALL for providing something for free (either as in beer or freedom).

What I AM saying is that of something is a universal, or application breaking issue, being a dick and charging a price to fix it if not done by a community member is sketchy at best.
