If you look you’ll see that Ken Liu translated the first and third 3 Body Problem books 😄. He a fantastic author in his own right and has brought a lot of best contemporary Chinese Sci-Fi to Western audience as a translator. He was a Harvard-educated tech patent lawyer before hitting a stride as an author - it’s said that things he saw in patents inspired a lot of his short story work which is fascinating and terrifying when you read the Paper Menagerie and the Hidden Girl.

As hard as it may be to believe, the 3rd 3 Body book is better than the 2nd (and the 2nd was better than the 1st). The 3rd book blew my mind apart - I as floating through 4D space, took like 6 months to fully come back down to earth from that book.
