SENDING BTC ON LAYER 1 🍊

This morning on the Daily Bitcoin Journey I challenged everyone out there to send a bitcoin transactions on Layer 1

There is NOTHING more liberating than sending bitcoin without anyone's permission

I'm sure there are many people on nostr who have never done this

Some people have only sent bitcoin from an exchange to their cold storage. Which is great. But not the same.

If you need help, here's a video I did on the full process. It took 45 mins and I had to bump the fee twice because the fees were going up while doing it live.

This is an excellent resource for someone and shows the pain and beauty of sending an L1 transaction

I will say this, early on in my Bitcoin journey, I was intimidated about things like running my own node and holding my own keys.

The intimidation factor was mostly due to a lack of reps and a lack of information.

After continuing to learn and to tinker, I realized these things aren't that difficult!

💯 I got lucky with a lot of low fee months in the beginning. Plebs should take advantage of this: create pvt keys, HD wallets, use signing device, destroy/delete 12 words, prove u can recreate addresses with coins on them and unlock them: send to yourself. Rinse repeat.
