- Completely understand the Nostr protocol.

- Finish reading the Matrix spec/protocol.

- Write a Matrix homeserver in C

- Write a Nostr relay in C

- Modify the Matrix homeserver to use Nostr instead, allowing Element and Fluffychat as much better and established IM clients for Nostr DMs and alike.

I want to do more with Nostr, improve on the DM situation, and do what Matrix can't; server-independent identifiers. Using Matrix as a baseline to work out chat on Nostr is mainly driven by...well, that is exactly and precisely what Matrix was designed for. :)

Trying to! I've been jobless for two years and am finally starting one come september. I have had to find something to do in the meantime. Boredom and lonelyness can be a big ... problem. So, I sought to avoid it. :)
