I too was homeschooled and was near the top of my class when I finally went to high school in-spite of the fact that I never studied. It was a point of pride that I was a straight A student and I didn’t really work at it. My mom is truly one in a million. My mom also had a small side business. I bet our mom’s would get along well.

One of the biggest shocks to me entering public school was that we skipped math problems (and whole chapters!) in public school.

I was used to doing my math textbooks cover to cover 😂

Yeah, I went to a private Christian school, so it wasn’t quite that bad, but it was still bad. We skipped over a lot. Have you read “Dumbing Us Down” by John Taylor Gatto? The Prussian model for education is quite awful.
