To celebrate my wife's birthday it was only fair that she be the first person in the world to taste Ben's 2023 Pinot Noir. We all know that Peony Lane's wines are unfiltered but until i got to the bottom of the bottle i wouldn't have believed it. Clear enough to see her smiling face through it in the glass with a beautiful ruby tint to the world.

Now i may be as smell blind as Dewey Cox but my wife must have been a hunting dog and she picked out scents of fruit, berries, citrus and oak.

Being in the beautiful hot and humid swamps of Florida, I found this to be as refreshing as a glass of the finest sweet tea or spring water pulled from the source and I look forward to serving it with a roasted chicken.

If you love the 2021 Higher but you're not in the mood for a punch in the pallet or you are sadly missing a porterhouse in the fridge this is a bottle you need to grab.
