Work in progress; experimenting with traditional/digital techniques beginning with a pencil, coloring using sketchbook, then a final step will take me back to traditional medium.

What do you guys think? Would love some feedback nostr:npub13sn9puhz2clq7z0dfjwt97twdxchucwk9uplfsetgnc5988884mq0s4et7

Very intense! 👍 What does the final step back to traditional mean?

Thank you so much! I’m thinking of trying something like Mod Podge for the transfer after printing it, but not sure what will happen to the colored bits since I’ve never tried this method before. Will definitely share the results if it looks goods🤩

You may want to consider using matte gel medium instead. I’ve read ModPodge can leave a tacky feel (which can collect dust) and depending on how you print, maybe a thin foggy film.

You can print a smaller version and try ModPodge on half and matte gel medium on the other half. The design is close to symmetrical so you’d see how they each react to the colors and the monochrome areas.

Valuable info here, thank you so much for that! Will definitely try and see which one works better.

I’m trying to zap this but can’t 😐😂 will figure out what’s the issue

Sometimes I can zap a note but I can zap a profile. 🤷 Glad you found the info worthy. 💜

Thanks for the tip! Zapped 🙏

I can't really give you any tips. I paint horribly myself. However, I like the picture. It reminds me a bit of carnival and medusa.

Thanks for the kind words

Hmm, yeah not sure I have a whole lot of suggestions myself.

I would second the suggestion to test out a small version of half Mod Podge, half matte medium to see which gives a nicer effect for the image transfer.

I think the surface you end up transferring to will play a big role. Could also try painting it with some sort of colorful/textured background?

More intricate patterns in the hair? Though, I may be a bot biased toward tiny details 😁

🤩 more intricate patterns bias is a healthy bias in bots, so I hear

I very much agree on patterns in the hair!

Moar patterns🤩
