People need to read more Austrian economics. There is a comfy instinct to think Bitcoin is some kind of ethical movement. It is not, and this is getting it backwards. The point of hard money is that it's human nature to do dark shit and hard money is just one important guardrail against human nature. The corollary however is that humans are naturally and necessarily collaborative.
Bitcoin doesn't change people it constrains our instinct toward selfish behavior and focuses it toward providing value for others--out of self interest.
It's not magical. What you are witnessing that looks like good people doing good is just a consequence of humans being permitted to think long term and incentivized to provide value now instead of stealing it from someone else's future.
I am not a good person and I pray for the right incentives present themselves because the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
