Awesome idea from nostr:npub12rv5lskctqxxs2c8rf2zlzc7xx3qpvzs3w4etgemauy9thegr43sf485vg Idea: LNbits PoS that accepts Cashu ecash but immediately melts to its own LN wallet instead of holding it as Ecash.

Would allow anyone to pay with ecash (also while being offline) and the PoS operator wouldn't have to trust any mint.

I just saw a video by nostr:nprofile1qqs034ppyjnjakycjcj84kgj737aw6kxkmxazrlp0r67qjk0atgdfgspzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgtccc0her where he could have done with such a feature.

I was imagining a wallet with a self custodial balance and an e-cash balance (yeah, I know nostr:nprofile1qqsd79ejwuvz7v246danxqs3hgw7f2q4qrqz6x27je8er0nhfmykwzqpzdmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ue0p9paq9 😁)

The idea being that you can use your e-cash in bad internet areas, and use either balance when you have good connectivity. The wallet would manage the split for you.

Then it occurred to me how ironic it would be that offline p2p payments require a custodian, while online payments are the real peer to peer transactions 💩

I broke my brain.
