It should be configurable, you should be able to change backends. Hardcoding to nostr.build is brittle. I can look at adapting your code to use the damus image service which I'm working on wrapping into damus purple. It would at least allow me to support it better.

#[2] , if you are trying to connect to nostr.build, I can setup a custom file with json response. We have not implemented a standard yet..

I am currently on the backend of the following with no issues. - snort, Iris, nostrid, and flycat

Snort gives users options if something fails or someone prefers another service. #[3] , let me know if interested, glad to provide anything you need!
