Facts . Started eating animal-based and I stopped farting. If you think about it.. we find farts so unpleasant… because they are so unnatural.

It's embarrasing because it should be.

i'm on a pretty much exclusively milk/yoghurt based diet. i fart a bit from milk but yoghurt does seem to exclude this. Also, the milk farts were not that bad compared to the potato/sugar/seed oils farst.

carbs make CO2, fats don't. carbs are all synthesised, at base, from ethanol. effectively, all carbs are alcohols, look at all the OH you see on the chemical diagrams.

having said that, the sugar in milk is unique in that almost no bacteria grow off it except the duo of lactobacillis and acidophilus, and the first thing that happens is the sugar is turned into lactic acid. so, no gas is emitted from this fermentation. you just get elimination of carbs and conversion from casein to BCAAs.

Milk farts usually comes from A1 diary that's been pasturized and homogenized.

Give https://getrawmilk.com/ a shot to locate raw, A2 diary (usually from Jersey cows).

not practical sitting here in the middle of the atlantic where 90% of the milk supply at all is UHT, and the one goat milk is not just UHT but skimmed down to 2%.

if i made friends with some of the cheese makers around the place i'd probably be able to get raw goat milk, which is better than cow anyway, but there won't be anyone on the internet saying so. this is still technically europe even if it's on the same longitude as marrakech.
