Concerning private messages, found this on r/privacy, your thoughts?

- If you wish to get people away from Whatsapp/Telegram, then your best bet is Signal.

- If you wish for a Signal-esque experience but don't wish to divulge your phone number, go with Session. (it lacks PFS though)

- If you wish for a Discord alternative, then go with Matrix (if possible self-host it as it's a metadata sponge).

- If you want near anonymous secure communication, go with Briar.

- Same as above but you don't like P2P, go with SimpleX.

Where Nostr DMs fit in this? (including the fact that nip04 are somewhat considered harmful? https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/107)

I was really surprised, I can’t really understand why that NIP has a problem. I thought that the Nostr protocol was somehow intrinsically safe no matter what NIP you implement. What do you think nostr:npub1v8h9mjha9ks2l0qml35f73dmwztzglskw3ljea73tzgac5eutxvq59rhqm ?
