NostrChat.io seems pretty cool and is close enough to replace Telegram imo. Very promising!
Already has:
- The chat UI is good,
- Supports emojis,
- Gif support with giphy integration
- Threaded replies
- Mute
- Timestamps
- Delete messages
- Mentions
Missing / Wish List:
- I cannot tell if the channels are private and require invite, but it seems that way. - Pinned notes
- Upload images or copy/paste them (not a big deal atm)
- Maybe some UI upgrades like an icon on Channels and DMs for quick differentiation.
- Light mode for normies
- Feedback link or button
- Some strange encryption issues with DMs where the message is scrambled and takes time to unscramble
- Notifications when someone mentions you with @ (perhaps you get a DM or something?
Oddly enough, one of my concerns is that this doesn’t get maintained long term. Kinda wish it monetized somehow and devs were active on nostr

So true. How do we avoid this from happening on BTC? I'm not sure the answer. Memepool was overwhelmed yesterday, so seems like BTC could have similar problems. Curious to learn more.
