we did some zap tests on this noteβ¦ we made six attempts toβ‘zap this note, at pseudozach@sats.fast, over a period of 38 minutes. six of the zaps were successfully paid... please check for 6 satoshis received. problem: we found that your lightning address server **did not* properly produce zap receipts, and/or didn't send the zap receipts to the relays specified in the zap. (the zap spec requires that the zap receipts be sent to the relays specified in the zap.) this means a nostr user who zaps you might not see a number appearing next to the β‘ icon after zapping.... also fyi... your server at sats.fast is responsible for creating your zap invoices, and we found that it responded slowly... invoice generation took an average of 3060ms (3.1 seconds). we consider this slow... generally, zap invoices should be created in under one second. if you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free rizful lightning address -- https://rizful.com ... if u get it set up, pls reply here so we can do this β‘zap test again.

# Re-imagining nostr.directory
https://nostr.directory was a good and much needed idea for bootstrapping nostr and contact discovery but had a few things wrong with it:
- centralized - required maintenance, data, backups, processing
- spof - has built-in single point of failure, me as the bottleneck when I get distracted by life it stopped being useful
- raw data β useful data - even though it was a good attempt to help people connect their online identity together, that data is useless unless it can be utilized by apps and users in a helpful way.
**Next Steps**
As pondered and discussed with nostr devs and users many times, nostr.directory can have and serve connection and identity data of each user, next much needed step is an actually usable, easy to understand βreputation scoreβ to help nostr clients and microapps surface relevant content and weed out spam.
Important tenants of such a system will be:
- Opt-in: If a users does NOT want that βfor youβ page they donβt have to see it and use it.
- High Availability: once a user wants to curate their microapp using WoT data, it should be trivial for apps to implement it.
- Nostr Native: Completely open-source and self-contained repo including all processing, backups + nostr relay serving available data.
- Context Based Scores: Having a 0-100 reputation score is nice and clean but itβs also important to know each separate field of expertise can come with a βfield specific scoreβ which is to say, I may value npubxβs views on bitcoin related things but not on latest diet trends.
For this Iβll do some research to existing methods and put an early version out there and try to integrate it into existing apps maybe even write a few demo apps that utilize it. Will go from there.

I think the only reason people use BREAKING on Twitter is that notifications show only the breaking part and then you have to click to see the rest.
Doesn't apply to nostr so useless.
This is very cool and I can already think of a bunch of use cases but I'm confused where the service fee invoice would come from and how it could be ensured to be paid.
