I think it was a very special feature to nostr that notes couldn't be edited. This now adds unnecessary complexity imo
They still can't. But you can always add on top of it. It's just a reply that replaces the content of the note with a new one from the author. The original note is still there.
Maybe add a list view of the edits? If more than one edit, then a drop down menu opens under the note with all edits and their dates
Sure! Right now you can click in the edit and rotate through all versions.
It works well for me.
I like that the edits are transparent. The interface is logical.
I'm interested to see how other clients interpret these events.
I want to add a Google Doc-level markup to let users see the differences easily. Maybe in a few versions...
