It’s not easy…but it was different for me than other fishing because it was also fun to just learn the art of the cast, and try to hit your targets.
Fish swim, they don’t fly.

A few of them can glide a few feet. I’m a cat. I watch fish. You should try flying a bird. You’ll go farther.
Sometimes I catch my fish in my fly.
The one eyed spitting fish doesn’t count.
