In the case of nostr the corporate press will write hit pieces about how it’s a protocol for criminals. That’s a lot more likely.
For sure. Not to mention the fact that the “feds” could not actually takedown every relay and operator everywhere without a significant coordinated global effort. Also, relays store text, not media, so much of the illegal content most people think of is not actually hosted by relays at all.
