One of my favorite conversations was with a man who kept saying toxic masculinity things at a casino. I explained to him to stop. He kept yelling “that bitch in the corner” while on a slot machine. Before this we had a kind conversation. Thought he’d be okay to hear truth.

His big defense: “after my wife left me … I’ve raised five daughters so don’t tell me I’m a sexist.”

Me: How many of them talk to you today?

Prepared myself to take the inevitable punch but he looked as if he’d cry.

My point: I don’t take crap from people IRL & **actively** fight for a better world. Conversations can change perception sometimes. Even the tough ones.

I don’t go out seeking people like this. 99% are kind & loving. It’s the 1% of the toxic that must be neutralized. 😊

blaming others is not really a masculine trait though...

"toxic-masculinity" in this case was a man exhibiting feminine, or maybe even infantilised behavior

Constantly screaming “that bitch in the corner” doesn’t scream toxicity to you?

My vagina disagrees. But that’s okay. ✅
