OOPS! KAMALA JUST ADMITTED YOUR AIRPODS CAN SPY ON YOU

“I served on the Senate Intelligence Committee… I’ve been in classified briefings.”

She says Bluetooth isn’t secure and people can listen in.

They know. They’ve always known.

No I get that #bitchat bullshit...

Bitchat communications are encrypted, doesnt matter if somebody was listening in

Thens I am back to not gettin it

Its pretty useless without a huge network effect in high density populated areas

Im sure it will have longer range options than just bluetooth eventually

Its a cool concept

There is meshcore or meahtastic for that already. And with way greater range

But you need a separate device for that

Being able to use readily available, commodity hardware is a big plus. What the smartphone did for photography compared to dedicated cameras is a good comparison.

Once wifi direct is enabled as a transport that will fix the range issue somewhat, extending from tens of meters to hundreds, plus the already released version that can use Nostr relays over the Internet.

☝️

The iOS version already uses Nostr for Internet based comms, and Wi-Fi direct is mentioned in the white paper.

Literally always drunk

It's why all the phone manufacturers removed headphone jacks

Great observation! I never thought about it that way

It doesn't depend on the transport later for encryption. Also it looks like Bluetooth isn't planned as the only transport, with wifi direct mentioned, and Nostr already implemented in the iOS release.
