Why? Why the rush to "reach out" to a third-world hermit nation on the other side of the world who we have no relations with? The only thing that makes sense is that Trump knows interactions with Kim generate a lot of press, and if there's anything he likes, it's press coverage. It's all about stroking his own ego. Because that's all that can come of it.

A phone call or a visit that he'll come out of talking about how great he is for talking to this absurd enemy that starves its own people for the sake of building weapons and providing luxury to its leader.

The United States and the American people will not benefit one iota from this nonsense. But Trump will. At our expense.
