Most of the time it was a clip over the ear by everyone and anyone and you didn’t say much about it! You copped it sweet and soldiered on.
I don’t hold any ill feeling towards these ppl that thought they were (mostly) doing the right thing…although I take slight issue towards my primary school principal, a nun (very mean spirited was Sister Johanna) going to town, slapping my skinny little bare legs, her “paw” prints left red hand prints all day and she went nuclear in front of three classes in the open corridor.
I was five years old and punished for refusing to drink the curdled milk that had been left sitting in the blistering sun all morning .. it was 1973 and I still hate milk….😅🤣
Funny which stories stick - apart from that I felt lucky as kid if I could ride my bike or skateboard all day with friends.
I think the current climate needs resilient nomad Xers to continue to fight hard for change and wake up our generation that has fallen into a whole of nothingness…
