"Away from phones"
I agree, but maybe not so much away from phones, but away from phone OS owned by big tech. If we can have mastery over the phone OS, we avert big tech by about 98% and run what we want.
It may be too late already if phone hardware is going the way of what I am seeing with desktop hardware. More and more the hardware is being made to force windows and not allow anything else. I don't know about phone hardware (I would guess apple for sure)
If consumers do not refuse to buy computers or phones that are hardware locked and have fixed bios that will not allow anything but one os, all will be lost very soon. Similar to the central bank digital currency, if the beast can control the cilicon they can block you at the chip level. Its already happening. Unfortunately I advise people to hold on to your current and recent computers and phones... and buckle up.
