I’m interested in why some see conspiracy in everything and some see conspiracy in nothing. I always urge to start with the rational explanation. Sometimes the rational explanation is that there was a conspiracy. Unfortunately “conspiracy theories” has become a phrase used to discredit any idea which goes against the mainstream narrative. It’s the people at the extremes that really fascinate me because in a way there’s an absolute refusal to question. One refuses to question the story they’ve been told. The other refuses to question themselves, their own knowledge base, and their bias. It is the refusal to question I find dangerous.

100% this.
I have a conspiracy theory. You're not actually an opossum!
I think you might be right
Some people have a persecution complex where they think people are out to get them and they see conspiracy everywhere. Some people are just reasonably suspicious of unusual coincidences. My general of thumb for judging any conspiracy theory is the fact that it's extremely difficult to maintain a conspiracy with more than a dozen people involved. So whenever somebody says that the infamous "they" are doing this or that, ask yourself: 'How many people would have to be in on it to pull this off?'
I think that’s a very good rule of thumb. I do believe you can have situations where people act on good faith when they were given bad intelligence by a small group of conspirators.
For me, the term "conspiracy theory" is mostly a designation that is used as a fighting term. It says nothing about the content of the statement, which should be discussed.
I become through the ages more and more sceptical, but most of the time it looks like dumb people takes dumb decisions which occurs in crazy outcomes. If this isn't the case, money leads the way 😂
But!! This makes my world not as bad as it shines. We are so many kind-hearted people who will always find a way and also always stand together 🧡💜🧡💜
