Looking for a password manager. Cross Plattform, Linux, Android and ChromeOS.

Should have Browser extension and a desktop App for Linux. The database should be located where I want it and not somewhere in the internet. All clients should work with the same database...

Any recommendations?

I use keepassxc. On android there is keepass2android.

It takes a little time to set up, but once done, it just works™.

Better than trying to let last pass or some other company take care of it and have your personal information lost leaked and stolen because of it. Yes, your passwords are probably safu, but your identity is not.

I know keepass... I use Keepassdx on Android, but I never get it to work to sync my database to all devices. I did use LastPass in the past, till they got hacked and someone hat my data. I know that problem, I felt it on my TRX wallet...

Enpass was an idea this morning, but I couldn't get it working... It worked with the desktop app on Linux and the android device. But Chromebook only the android device worked and on chrome browser it didn't work. My Anti Spam addon kept blocking it and when I turned it off it didn't work because of something else.

Bitwarden. Easy to self host and works great

Ok, how does it work with the self hosting and where to host it? Are you sure in self hosting it has no connection to bitwarden servers?

So, self hosting you do need a connection and pay? Look at the screenshot!

When you host your own you get all the features and don't have to pay. I run mine on yunohost but there are other options too.

I will check out that website. Is it on some Webspace possible or do I need own hardware for it?

KeepassXC

has a TOTP implementation too

I installed that yesterday on Linux. I wonder if I can use a database in the cloud and use the same on my phone. But how do I use it on chrome, Chromebook, there is no app for it. I think the extension need the software running in the background.
