Ginger Wallet: Wasabi Wallet Fork with 'Compliant' Coinjoins

Ginger Wallet is an open-source, non-custodial, privacy-focused Bitcoin wallet for desktop. It is a fork of Wasabi Wallet with an unchangeable default coordinator that sends all CoinJoin input transactions to a chain surveillance partner.

This is satire right

Did Bugle take over for the day?

Wow, such privacy focus!

Cool another piece of software I’ll never use

I don’t know shid about fug, but the phrase “chain surveillance partner” is highly concerning.

Wasn’t the point of Coinjoin to be a privacy tool? And wouldn’t the inclusion of a third party whose role is to monitor/track/report and possibly KYC Ginger users completely defeat the purpose of Coinjoin?

If so, who is the target audience for this product and why would anyone use it?

What a shame!

Fuck it.

Was ein Unsinn...

Lmao

LOL

So it's like old regular wasabi 🤷🏻‍♂️

wtf? 🙈

This is a meme, right... right?

Interesting. Not going to be for everyone. Nice to see a wasabi-like option continuing.

I would be using Wasabi with some other coordinator (if I had any Bitcoin to coinjoin).
