I have found Surveiliance Report quite a while ago actually - I think I am watching them for one and a half, maybe even more, years now? Basically, I got sick and tired of all this data collection and started to look into alternatives - and naturally, ended up there!

With all the things I learned there and software I found with the pointers given throughout the shownotes, I now run LineageOS 20, MicroG, Magisk, AdAway and a few other things. No more Google. And prior to that, I sold my iPhone and Apple watch and completely detached myself from the Apple ecosystem. That was a full 180° because I had been an Apple user since... 2008? XD I'd have to check, but I owned an iPod Nano 5th gen when I did my first iTunes purchase with Click&Buy. I was there very, very long. So giving up on that ecosystem was quite a cut.

I made a similar transition out of the Google ecosystem a couple years ago. Some inconvenience, but the sovereignty and privacy is worth it imo.

Lineage is great, but there is a more secure and private option out there you may want to look into called GrapheneOS that allows relocking of the bootloader, but you must have a Google Pixel phone as it has the only hardware that allows this.

CalyxOS is another good option that allows relocking of the bootloader. The way I understand it though is it's not as secure as GrapheneOS.

I have a Razer Phone 2... Uh, I doubt relocking is really a thing here. :) But it works the way I want it to! Here's hope custom ROMs land on foldables eventually. I would Looooove to use Motorola's newest Razr+ with it's gorgeous cover screen as my daily driver! But even so, I actually use the GraphoneOS Camera. It is literally miles better than LOS' stock camera. Like, by a whole landslide.
