Assuming you mean the net, yes, it's fairly common on camping hammocks. Some people have separate nets that go over the entire hammock, also. This one zips all the way around so it can be removed. Others are sewn on one side and zippered on the other, so it's permanent, but easy to get in and out. All personal preference.
