Yesterday I explained the final facelift carried out on the Rover 25 in 2004. That was designed to address the absence of the R30 replacement model that was lost when BMW sold Rover in 2000. R30 was also intended to replace the Rover 45, which instead received last-throw-of-the-dice tweaks similar to those carried out on the 25. But the story isn’t quite yet over. I captured this facelifted 45 at tge Great British Car Journey recently.

They're really good cars, I've toyed with buying one and putting an MGF VVC engine in, my brother built a Rover 100 with that engine in and it was quite a sleeper!
