Grey skies and smell of rain in the air.

I’m cutting up these oyster mushrooms, not sure yet what I’ll make with them. Maybe something warm and simple?

Made chicken with a miso-mushroom cream sauce tonight, with a few herbs and spices…parsley, thyme, sage, and just a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Served it with saffron rice added in some green raisins. It turned out creamy, fragrant, and full of umami… so comforting. 😌

Ignore the crispy (burnt) garlic… I got caught up wrestling with the girls and forgot everything else for a minute. 😅
