Found the source of the issue, for me at least..

Settings > General > Dictionary > deselect Apple Dictionary

Just did it, working so much better now. So it has to be what I said. Apple has a woke dictionary where they prioritize broken English in order to be “inclusive”.

Garbage either way, for sure. Glad removing it was an improvement for you too. 🤙🏻
