Cholesterol is an essential part of your metabolism. Your body creates it much more than you eat it, typically.

It creates it when it needs more of it and it needs more of it when you're in 'fat storage' mode. If you eat alot of butter AND you're eating cakes all day and keeping your blood sugar maxxed out like most of the people in the studies you would reference for this belief, then yes, I suppose eating all that butter isn't great.

But thats an industry trick, long since having captured these regulators and advisory bodies, to remove focus from the real problem. Such a large amount of Americans are completely addicted to carbs, cheap enough for all, and keeping their blood sugar maxxed out their whole life.
